Hi all.... On the 4th December, our Mikkh broke his ankle - now, if we could, we would all sign his cast in 'real life' wouldn't we. As we are unable to do that, I thought we should all 'sign his cast' on this thread and also take him a virtual present.
Today's signing from me is...''Who Loves Ya Baby'' and a bunch of grapes (Before the 4/6 weeks is up, I'm sure I shall think of something more imaginative.) What would you sign on his cast and what present would you give him?

I don't know how to sign the cast but I'd sign it if I could and add "Ha ha! Now you won't be able to run away from your stalker!"

Cheers everybody, right cast, wrong leg though :-p
My flirty 30 something next door neighbour saw me hobbling up the steps yesterday and she said 'does that mean I've got to come round and sort you out?' I said yes it does ;o) - still waiting.
Just tried to attract the attention of my slightly shyer other neighbour who was on the back playing with her dog and she disappeared back in - probably thinking I was complaining about the dog yapping, doh!

That was a silly thing to do Mikh; my Mick did the same last January.
Anyway, take care and get better.
A nice big kiss from me.

Whoa MM, don't tell me that lol - I was told 4-6 weeks and was hoping that was true. I actually haven't got my official plaster on yet. I had a temporary one put on when I first did it, two days later they took that off and decided the swelling hadn't gone down enough so they fitted a new lightweight one which I've still got.
Apparently it will feel loose eventually, but with it gripping my upper leg like a limpet, I can't tell yet, which is probably not good news.
Lynnrose I preferred yesterdays present ;o) Donning my Sherlock Holmes deerstalker I see 'Fedora 3' mentioned on that book - we're now on 14, so it's a very old book and the real give-away is no mention of the over hyped Ubuntu which didn't even exist back then.
I have flicked through the more up to date version of that book - with the usurper Ubuntu heavily featured. It's very basic, but it might help someone new to Linux. I thought it was disappointing though as it concentrates more on using Linux programs than Linux commands

Just as a word of encouragement, I broke my ankle about 30 years ago, had to wear boots most of the time for a couple of years after the cast came off (for support) and it still gives me jip now every now and again...enjoy.
My cast was put on in the AE of the old Yarmouth hospital at about two O'Clock in the morning. I had actually broken it at about 1 in the afternoon, reported to first aid post in a local holiday camp where they declared it was a bad strain and bandaged it up. After my treatment they asked me for my Chalet number for their records. I told them I wasn't staying at the camp and had just limped to the nearest first aid post. They then informed me in no uncertain terms that the first aid facilities were for the use of camp site residents only, and then swiftly whipped the bandage they had applied off and told me to leave. True story.

Cheers Roz, but I'm a Carp angler so that ruler would be only be used for measuring between their eyes :-p I've caught a fair few 20 pounders, but no 30 yet
See my profile pic? I'm only smiling because I have a BIG Carp in my arms (just out of shot)

I think we must have stayed at the same holiday camp, Movie Man. Perhaps just after you. Mrs Fozz had some sand blow into her eye on the beach. We reported to the first aid tent for treatment and spent 45 minutes filling in forms in triplicate and proving that we were staying on the site before they would get the eye bath out.

Being as you don't need them for a while, Mikkh... Can I borrow your wellies? I've heard there is some deep snow coming our way.
