Hi everyone, We would like to do a poll now to find out which forum our members would like to stay with as there really isn't any point in having both Multiply and this one. There is no time limit on the poll results at the moment, as I know some members only visit now and then, so hopefully they will have plenty of time to vote. If any of you notice that some members have not voted, a gentle nudge to this poll would be appreciated.
Please put a tick at the option you agree with above this message.
Thankyou for taking the time to do this.
All comments welcome

I would be devastated if the E-Forum were to cease, I find Multiply slow, complicated and also periodically unreliable. Not once have I been unable to access this site. "Preview" and "Modify Post" are particularly useful - long may it continue.

I much prefer this forum. I like being able to personalise posts (text, pictures etc) Multiply is slow to load for me initialy, but once it does, it all works o.k. I just find the format "flat" & uninviting.

I think you really need both, even if you only use Multiply as a signpost to this forum. We all know this is here, but new comers would never find it. Proboard computer forums run into millions.

I don't like either of them. I liked MSN. I find both forums slow, complicated and boring. Changing text is a pain, so most don't bother. Likewise with links. Multiply was spamming my inbox every time Tropical Pam sent another prolific collection of funnies. I am getting invitations from people I don't know and have never met, nor wish to meet. I've just bought a new PC. Supposed to be a quad core. It's slower than a hibernating sloth. Is Vista always like this? I am totally fed up.

I think folks know my prefernce, and I have no wish to join the multiply site. This is where Id like to stay, format is easy, and most good reference sites are using this sort of format. Long may the e forum reign!

I very much prefer Forum. I find Multiply quite tedious though I suppose I would learn my way around eventually!

Multiply is the worst thing I have ever tried to use. Its slow and difficult.

I voted for this forum, as it is more secure, and already getting used a lot. The Multiply is more user friendly, but this is okay when you get used to using it, like most members are. Think it best if we stick to this one. Proboards.......rah rah rah!!! Pete.

My vote is for eForum'. I find Multiply too confusing. I never thought I'd miss MSN so much.

Sorry but I'm sitting on the fence here ... I've had to create a group on Multiply, though I don't like it much! Also on Aimoo, Yuku and Ning, before the group chooses just one of them (though it looks like they're leaving it to me!). I agree that Multiply has security issues, in that you can follow through to total strangers and they can do the same to you. Also that it's very slow loading at times. I'm just not used to proboards I suppose! None of the other groups I belong to have chosen proboards. I think this group's visibility is important, though, hence my thoughts about continuing on Multiply. You might also care to take a look at Yuku (as an alternative to Multiply) - I find it a bit complicated to set up, (so that's a gauntlet laid down for the tech-savvy!!) but it's a popular site and easy enough to participate in a group already set up. Perhaps a better choice than Multiply? It certainly has fewer issues than Multiply but would give CIT a better "presence" than here!

Lynnrose spent some valuable time deleting scores of lurking - non posting members from MSN/CIT prior to moving here. What we have now is a band of loyal and dedicated members who love CIT for what our Managers created for us over something like 9 years. Do we need more 'presence' out in the 'www' or can this site grow steadily and successfully by recommendation from US? We certainly don't need spammers/hackers and other like minded peasants who infiltrate Multiply ad-ifinitum.

I hear what you're saying Buzzy, but I originally found this group on MSN and have been very thankful on several occasions that I did ~ therefore I'm only thinking of the people, like myself, who needed help and found it in CIT

Fozzie, I liked MSN too, especially the ease of the layout of the message boards. Sorry to hear that you like neither, but I am very surprised that you find this site slow loading, as the pages here for me appear in a heartbeat. As for Vista, whether I use Vista on my laptop or XP on my desktop PC, both work fast for all aspects of computer use. You may like to think about putting a new thread on your Vista problem. I hope you grow to like the forum that CIT uses, we would hate to lose you x

KC We shall take your comment on board KC as it might be worth keeping Multiply for an access point like you suggest x
