I will follow the majority vote, but my preference is this forum. I find Mulitply to complicated and, occasionally, very slow. I don't have the time for individual Blogs full of messages unrelated to computers, although I have no objection to such messages being kept in a sub-section dedicated to, say, Chat.
Best Regards,
Alex

Even though I promoted Multiply and more or less pushed Lynnrose and Pete to make the move to there, even though we already had this great E-Forum already constructed, I am beginning to find little quirks there that I don't like.
I've been at Multiply since MSN first came out with the announcement that the Groups would be closing. I liked it a lot as it was fast and something new and I've had the opportunity to "chat" with some of the members of CIT there at Multiply more in the past few months than I had in all 9 years at MSN and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm used to it now, but as others have stated it is getting very slow, and it appears that either Multiply is ignoring the issue or they really are extremely busy with other more pressing problems with migrating MSN Groups over. I have a very long post going over there addressing the subject and more and more people are logging in and agreeing with me on the matter and hopefully Multiply will take notice.
As far as keeping both, it's not a bad idea. It doesn't cost anything and there are those who do like it and if Multiply works on getting their servers upgraded so that it's not another MSN, it will be OK for some, but not for all. I am planning on keeping my personal site there, but that can change also.
I know people don't like change, but as I said from the very beginning, we overcame MSN quirks and problems, I'm sure we can overcome anything Multiply or the E-Forum can throw our way. And the only way to do that is to just try it and ask questions. Try both if you haven't already and if you don't like either one, well, what can I say except that I'm sorry. We tried.

Larry, If we kept both, I feel that one like Multiply should be the social group, and Proboards the technical group. Though really feel this Proboards site is favourite for most so far. Pete.

Well said Larry, we should keep the poll going, but perhaps keep Multiply as a 'window' to this main group....awww, I am sorry too that some members are not happy with either group, but we have and will keep on trying to keep them all happy as we have done since CIT began. It's sometimes hard to not take criticism to heart (I was quite crestfallen reading that some members dislike both) but we can only do our best x

I had already decided that if you were going to continue on Multiply then id not be going with you as Ive found it so user unfriendly. Im a member of a couple of groups in Yuku which is very similar to this and ive found them both ok so Im happy for it to stay here.

I like this site, proboard sites figure in search engines much better than the MSN ones did. If you weren't already on MSN you'd never have found it.
Multiply is awful.

I vote for E FORUM. E FORUM is about computers and helping people, which I found in abundance in CIT. And am sure we will find all that here. Multiply ! What can I say not a lot so I'll say nothing

Multiply is a definite no no from me. Tried it and it split the group many different ways. Each member ended up owning their own site with their own cliques. So the forum gets my vote too

I was mainly a lurker at the MSN group mainly because I had long had enough of the malfunction at MSN. I moved my own groups off MSN about 5 years ago and have only stayed there with one storage group and to visit or participate in a few groups. I much prefer a forum as they tend to give the admin much more control especially when it comes to spammers getting in and such. Also features such as being able to edit your own post is very nice for the user. These Proboards I suspect are based on Yabb or YabbSE forum software of which Simple Machines Forums (my personal favorite forum software) is derived from.
Multiply is ok; I'm not a big "networky" sort of person anyway, but I am giving Multiply a good try though. It could be used to attract new members over here.

Well I have tried both and multiply was OK as well but I did have a few days off work then, and had time to flip back and forward finding where things were how to post pictures etc I felt it only fair to try it, but all that said I love this forum so much better. I am usually pushed for time and you can so easily pop in here and read the posts ask for help or just be entertained with the banter here that my vote definitely goes here the E Forum. Maybe members that have a lot more spare time will prefect multiply but I am afraid I just don't. Lynnrose this one is perfect

I am a bit annoyed with Microsoft for trying to get their MSN Groups users to use Multiply, rather than something much more appropriate , like this.
Cynical me thinks there could be a financial motive .

The proboards forum definitely gets my vote :)and its where we moved our own group to. Multiply is too much in the 'blog' style which personally I cant stand.
