This is much more suitable for a help forum than Multiply, in my opinion.

I think that you should run both the 2 services for now. If something ever goes wrong with Multiply, just like what happened to MSN Groups, people can come back here to the E-Forum and post messages.

Never liked MSN for a whole load of reasons that I wont bore you with here. Generally I prefer the newer technologies, but Multilpy has failed to hit the spot and I am not exactly sure why. I enjoy using blogs and social networks nowadays but this forum does do a very good job, is reasonably customisable and most MSN fans seem to be taking to it slowly but surely. My suggestion would probably be to go with this forum as it appears to be more popular with the regulars, but then as some folk have said, it may just be that people do tend to get used to a place which becomes familiar and comforting and they resist change, especially when it is enforced upon them and not willingly chosen. Would Multiply eventually become as well loved and popular as MSN was to you all? Maybe you should give it a few months to bed in before you dump it?

Well said Larry, we should keep the poll going, but perhaps keep Multiply as a 'window' to this main group....awww, I am sorry too that some members are not happy with either group, but we have and will keep on trying to keep them all happy as we have done since CIT began. It's sometimes hard to not take criticism to heart (I was quite crestfallen reading that some members dislike both) but we can only do our best x Lynnrose, no one has done more than you to help the CIT members over the years. It is not your fault that the platform you all loved has decided to close. 'You cant please all of the people all of the time' and therefore you will just have to go with the majority and if some folk dont want to stay with you, so be it. Onward and upward as Pete and Larry have said above! PS: This is much nicer than MSN! ;D ;D

hi Lynnrose/pete/Larry This is the FIRST time i have seen a MSN group give the group and address of another group - Your site CIT is admired by the manager of MSN group with 29, 000 + Members ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Plans are in hand to set up a new home well before the shut down. What do you want to see when MSN pulls the plug and we move to a new site? I am watching what other groups are experiencing. So far, I am most convinced by the route taken by Computer Interested Types (always a favourite of mine). They started a forum on Proboards computertypes.proboards.com/index.cgi and got everyone posting over there. Les
