You menu must have been printed for the Burma Railway in 1943 Lynnrose. I thought a diet like that was contrary to the Geneva Convention.

Lol KC....I tend to eat rubbish when it is only me in to cook for, but I do eat properly when 'the family' are about. I am still waiting for my Tesco delivery...due 11 - 1pm....I have rung and they said that I would get a text or phone call if they were going to be late, but nothing so far. I doubt the driver will be able to get up my road anyway.

I've had chicken the last two days and I seem to have an overabundance of sausages in the fridge. So I think I will have bangers, eggs, bacon, tatties, red beans and anything else I've got laying around tonight. I think I will have a corned beef and Piccalilli sarnie in a minute.

Tonight we had...Sticky Marmalade Chicken with Roasties
It was delicious! I used Chilli Sauce instead of a pinch of chilli powder and used frozen chopped onions. Afterwards we had Strawberries, mini meringues and cream.

Not a very good translation Lynnrose, but a general idea. Its one of my quick Costa Rican meals. You cook your red or black beans in a hot chilli sauce with chopped bacon, or any kind of cooked meat. Then you poach eggs in it before serving it with the rice. The chilli sauce is simply chopped red chillies and tomatoes in beef stock, with lots of onions and some garlic. To this you add your precooked beans and meat. I always boil my chilli sauce up and leave it over night. Then you can throw the meal together in the time it takes to cook the rice. I plan never to spend more than 15 minutes in the kitchen, at any one cooking session and I only eat one proper meal a day.
