I like to keep up with the latest hardware, so when I spotted a new range of AMD Ryzen CPU's is about to be released, I obviously wanted to know more.
I came across one site where it promised a full breakdown and wow, they weren't kidding! It was supposed to be highlighting the two cheaper ones that I was interested in.
Page after page of benchmarks and tests comparing up to 20 other CPU's - why? It just makes no sense to compare top of the range £400 - £500+ CPU's with these budget ones.
There were even several that were 5-6 years old and surprise surprise, the new CPU's were better! Talk about stating the obvious!!
All I really wanted was a point of reference with CPU's in the same sort of price range. I'm not suddenly going to jump from £150 to £500+ just because the numbers are better, especially because several years down the line new CPU's will be as fast and a lot cheaper.
Page after page of info with seemingly endless scrolling on each one could have been summed up in one sentence ....
The new AMD Ryzen 5 4500 is basically identical to the older Ryzen 5 3600 but significantly cheaper.
There, that wasn't hard was it? The new Ryzen 3 4100 also looks set to be the new darling of cheap PC builds at under £100 - you heard it here first ;o)

Are they all mostly now made in TAIWAN, where so many chips are now made?? If so, the world will be blackmailed, not IF, but WHEN the LyingCommieRedChinese B$STARDS invade Taiwan.
Not intending this post to be Political, but as I see it with Brandon in the White House
