Linux, unlike Windows is not restricted to one boring default interface, it has many (perhaps too many) variants and too many tweaks in a bid to set them aside from a similar 'distro'
As a long term Linux user, I've grown used to changing the desktop to suit my own particular wants/needs but one distro has gone the extra mile in giving you a variety with minimal fuss
It's called MakuluLinux and while it's yet another Debian/Ubuntu clone, this one feature makes it quite desirable.
There's 6 choices of desktop that are available at the click of a button. Something for everyone, well almost.
It has other good features, but well worth a look at.

Hi Mikkh, I see that you are from Nottingham.
Now I see why you misspell Color, LOL.
Just Kidding, since us Yanks spell slightly differently :-), especially here in California.

The word is wrongly, not differently :-p , how all those U's went missing on the trip across the Atlantic is one of life's great mysteries.
The ocean floor must be full of them!

LOL, I had a friend in High school, whose Father got a bus driving job (They were Candians), and they lived in Oakland, Calif. for years until the son was told he had to register for the draft, during the Viet Nam war, they were only legal residents, not citizens. So the Parents decided to give up their life here returning to, Ontario, Canada.
HE was constantly getting DINGED on his spelling on papers in class, spelling the Brit way, LOL. If I had been the teachers, I would have let him slide, being more understanding :-)
