..... or at least remember what you knew already! ..... and don't go looking for complicated answers before you try the obvious. I've built myself a new PC, nothing new there, I've built dozens in the past but not for a year or so and things have definitely moved on - especially with cases It's like riding a bike though, even if I've never done it so slowly! I carefully assembled the parts and sorted all the spaghetti out so it looked like I knew what I was doing. Pressed the on button - nothing. I guessed the motherboard headers had come off because they weren't a brilliant fit and were easily dislodged when I was tidying up the spaghetti of wires. No problem for boy wonder here, applying a flat screwdriver to the on button pins usually kicks it into life, but again nothing. I started thinking all kinds of crazy things and was starting to get annoyed, when I took a deep breath and thought about it logically. All new parts, so that wasn't the problem , yes all new parts you idiot, including the PSU (Power Supply Unit) which they always ship turned off - doh! Turned it on (O is Off on a PSU btw) and Hey Presto, fans, pretty lights and a big smile I was on the verge of taking it all to bits again before that little brainstorm
