Hi I have an HP Omen Gaming laptop. It gets a black horizontal line every now and again on the screen. If you get this it is the laptop telling you that the battery needs discharging. ( Mine is plugged in all the time) I hear that this is common on HP Laptops. So if you do get the black line turn off all sleep settings un plug it and leave it on until the battery is flat. Charge it up and then repeat. This will remove it. Soupey x
