I am updating my cpu on the gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 rev1.1 motherboard. I have a amd fx4300 installed on the board now with 2 x 8gb ddr3 1600 memory,2 x 230gb ssd hard drives and 1 lite-on dvd-rw sata drive. Also 2 x radeon hd 6850 video cards in crossfire configuration. The pc run great. But when i install the new cpu amd fx8350 the pc goes to post then when loading the os windows 10 x64 pro the pc reboots back to post then tries to load the os and same thing over and over. I reinstalled a fresh install of the os and drivers ahic, chipset and so on but still will not load os after post. I also updated the bios to the latest f9 bios and no dice.I also installed new memory and still no luck and the fx8350 will run fine on another board i tried a ga-970a-ds3p and runs great. If anyone out there has any idea what is going on i could sure use some input. I am at a total loss i normally would say it's the board if the fx4300 and a fx6300 did not run like a champ on it. Any help would be a plus. Thanks for taking the time to read my thread and i hope someone out there has an idea whats going on.

Better late than never and in case anyone has similar problems.....
It's quite an old system, even with the newer CPU and at first glance I'd suspect the PSU is struggling to cope with the extra wattage required
Even if you started with a good PSU, they degrade over time and with 2 graphics cards using a lot of power anyway, it looks like it's a bridge too far for the PSU to cope with.
This is magnified if you started with a cheaper PSU. A low quality 650W PSU could actually only be supplying 500W or less, even at new. Over the years that could drop to 400W or worse
When building a PC you should never economise on the PSU. I tend to stick with Corsair or 'be quiet' PSU's for new builds, but other brands are fine if they're a minimum 80 plus Bronze rated (ideally gold or better)
A good quality 650W PSU would probably sort your problem and worse case scenario would be fine for a new build.
