It still works, I did it about a week ago.
Microsoft are not really bothered about making money from the OS itself when they know it's just a gateway to their real cash cow, which is Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
They could easily close this loophole if they wanted to, but I suspect they'd rather have people using Windows and potentially other Microsoft products than them considering swapping to MAC or Linux.

When I got my first internet device, WebTV (Google it, you may not know what that was across the pond, LOL), there was a great close knit community of us. But then MicroCrap bought it, and it was always our opinion that they bought it to purposely kill it, because everything we needed was built into it, no other software of any type was needed.
So they could sell any software to WebTV users. They were such sweet machines, several different type of models.
Man, it seems like there are just the two of us in here, LOL.
You must have been lonely till I signed on :-)
Maybe you can go through your Member list, message them ALL and say, "WAKE UP!!" :-)

I'm partly to blame. When posts started to slow down, I deserted the sinking ship and didn't return for a while. Came back into the fold a year or so ago, mainly as a personal diary for myself - Saves me talking to myself at least!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, Any idea do get folks back?? Not really, it's like 'MySpace' It had it's day, but has now become redundant as newer platforms evolve People now look on Reddit, Quora, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube etc, rather than proboards. It's simply a case of what shows up in a Google search first, with most not straying off the first page of results.
