Software that can create a 3D image from an image

Hi I have a friend that posted a picture of some Keys on Facebook. I told them that they should edit the post and paint over the keys. I know that there is software out there that can turn an image into a 3D blueprint. But I can't think for the life of me what it is. Its just to prove a point that it can be done! As they laughed at my suggestion and have left the post up.
