Win 7 password

I would like to switch my computer on and when it has booted up, input a password just like the default setting on windows 10. I have looked on Google but it appears to offer a number of options but it's not clear at what stage you have to enter the password.

So any thoughts on something that will give me what I want will be well received.

I am running on win10, the easy way to enter a pin is as follows. You have just open up your computer. so now hit the windows key, do a right click you should see a box for new pin... enter a new pin.
