Hi Guys, I have a scanner CanoScan Lide20, which is no longer supported by Canon and it does not work in Windows 10. Has anyone found a reliable source for a driver? DriverWhiz.com has one, but they want to be paid before I try it and I have been caught with such "offers" before. Any suggestions or recommendations? Many thanks, Alex

I dont use Windows 10 and its years since I used this method, but it might work. Boot the computer with the scanner plugged in and go into Device Manager. If the scanner doesn't show, scan for it with Device Manager. It will show with a yellow mark against it, click on it and tell it to go online and find its own driver. I also have an old Canoscan, that wouldn't even install properly on XP and I got it working on Windows 7. I used Device Manager to install the driver from the installation disk. Running the normal installation from the disk, didn't work at all. I contacted Canoscan as soon as I got the scanner and they told me to install that way, as the installation disk wouldn't work. Hopefully it will work with Windows 10 as well, at least the company admitted their software was shyte.
