Hi,
I have been trying to update my copy of Puppy Slacko to the latest version 6.3.0. Right click on saved ISO file in Win 10 File Explorer brings up the option to burn image, which I have done (several times). But when I try to start Puppy from Live CD I get the message "error, NTFS hibernated partition ....cannot mount". After a pause of a few seconds, it continues and then the monitor breaks up is multicoloured rubbish and it freezes. The only way to get out of this position is to re-start. Basically, I cannot download and install any Linux OS, so I would be grateful for any suggestions. By the way, existing Linux OS work well. Many thanks, Alex

Probably wants to use FAT32 for linux, perhaps mikkh will know.I have not experimented with linux for some time now. all may be just looking what you've used in the past, maybe a usb stick may help.

Thank you Pete. I have managed to install Puppy Slacko 6-3-2 by ignoring the error message. The boot up continues after the message and everything is OK. Alex

It's referring to a Windows partition, you need to load that version of Windows and shut it down properly. Assuming it still exists that is. It may just be an NTFS partition/drive that used to have Windows on
