Hi Guys,
I downloaded and unstalled a Win10 Creators Update last night and now the OS does not work. It starts with a pink screen (?) with my usual log on picture and password and then ends up with blank pink screen and it goes no further. ALT-DEL brings up Lock, Switch User, Sign out and Task Manager. Task Manage does not work and all the others go round the loop and end up with blank pink screen. I have another Win 10, running off a separate SSD and that one works OK and it has not been updated. I can see that the same update will soon be ready for the copy of Win 10 that is still working and it seems that I have no means of stopping it.
Any ideas on how to recover, would be most welcome.
Many thanks,
Alex

Thank you merchant42. Worth knowing for the future, but in this case I could not recover the OS. I formatted the drive and did a fresh install and that crashed too after a few days, so I gave up running 2 Win 10 O/S on the same computer. In fact, for the past 10 days I have been using Linux during the day to prevent automatic updates eating up my 10GB monthly allocation. If Microsoft does not soon come up with a way for me to decide when updates can downloaded, I will stay with Linux.
Best,
Alex

I dont know why you would want two copies of Windows 10 on one computer, one copy is one too many. Although the two OS's are on different partitions, M$ are so screwed up, automatic updates are probably and getting their wires crossed. This is only a guess of course, but its the best I can come up with. I dont know much about Windows 10 and have no ambition to learn more. I have installed it on one laptop and I dont pretend to like it one little bit, but it does work of a sorts.
