Having tried various Android emulators in Linux as a substitute for Bluestacks in Windows, I've found none that work properly. I basically don't want to use Windows just for bluestacks and have found an acceptable alternative. It's not perfect (for me) because it installs from Windows, but adds a boot loader entry so you don't have to load Windows once it's installed. For die hard Windows users, it's a nice solution to use an alternative OS with none of the usual hassle that puts people off You just download the file, use the install script (from Windows) and reboot picking Remix OS when you want to use it or leaving it to boot the default Windows when you don't - simple! distrowatch.com/?newsid=09538I'm temporarily reduced to using an older PC because the CPU fan is shot on my main one, so it was an ideal time to see how it coped on older hardware. Runs perfectly, there's the usual annoyance of setting up Google play and signing in like on any Android device, but once it's done you're good to go I downloaded Clash of Clans and after a few false starts, got it up and running and was very happy with the speed on an old PC with a pretty average graphics card. If you've got games you like on an android device but would like to play them on a bigger screen, this is the thing for you If you've got an old PC that runs sluggishly on Windows 7 or higher, this could breathe new life into it
