Anyone know how to transfer ownership of windows 10?
My wife is naturally reluctant to have her email address broadcast acros ss the spectrum

Thanks mikkh. I did see that available. I got the impression it would simply switch and allow the account to be switched back.
I will give it a go. Then get back and say how it gets on.
Looking at the list, it seems the only advantage is Windows Store, Xbox and Onedrive. Since I don't use any of those I may give it a whirl on my own PC.
Addition.
Just noticed that closing the M$ account will also close the Hotmail. My email has been with hotmail since 1998 and I really don't want to loose it. I'll keep my M$ account and just use the Local account on my PC.
Also, My wife's new PC uses the same M$ account as the old one. I'll follow the delete procedures and hope I can scrub the free space enough to prevent it from being restored.
Alternatively, I could do a re-install of W10. Hmmm

Update
Removed the M$ accounts and all seemes perfectly well.
Used the scrub function on Advanced systemcare9 to scrub away all the personal files.
Someoen else has pointed out that it may be sensible to also delete C:\Users profile and get rid of the regkey in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\*youroldprofile*

Instead of poncing about, why not delete the whole drive and put a bare installation of Windows 10 on??? You dont need any names and addresses to do that, you can even do it without connecting to the internet.

You dont need any names and addresses to do that, you can even do it without connecting to the internet. There are easily available recovery tools which can undelete stuff. Some preparation is needed before passing on any PC. I want to pass it on in working order But thanks for the suggestion.

A clean installation would be in full working order Jojo. Its no use installing more than that anyway, as you dont know what applications the next person will want to use. A clean new installation is the only safe way to go; no matter how well you clean up the installation, Windows will always hang on to something and a determined person could retrieve it. Its not likely you would sell a secondhand computer to a cracker, but someone might try just to see if they can and they might get lucky.
