Just got a new computer after my old one finally gave up.
New machine is running W10.
I still have the XP drive with the OS untouched.
I really want to transfer the Favourites/Bookmarked files over from my copy of Firefox on my XP drive onto W10.
Any suggestions as to how?

That is excellent mikkh. I knew you of all people would know. (Though I suspected Lynnrose would also. She seems pretty clued about Firefox and put me onto it.)
I intended to install Firefox on W10 anyway. I don't like Edge very much. I'd probably get used to it, but for now, it just doesn't have what I'm used to.
Thinking of writing a short essay on how I built this PC. Not complicated stuff by any means, but might be useful to some to get their own ideas together and perhaps have the confidence to try it.
Addition. For reference to anyone trying this, I have found more success by copying over the whole Firefox folder, rather than just the profiles as suggested.
In XP instead of: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
Copy C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\
In W10, go to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\ Take a copy of the current Firefox folder, temporarily incase of problems and replace it with the one of the same name from XP.
Thanks again mikkh. I have book marks going back many years in that, no doubt most will now be obsolete, but many are still useful and I'd hate to loose them.

jojo ...where have you been? You disappeared for ages? Not too well for a bit, (a misspent youth catching up ) Then my PC gave up. Been struggling on with a 7 inch 1.5GHz laptop which my wife bought for herself ages ago, partly because she thought it was cute and partly because as she says, she deserves two! Still kinda road testing this PC and can't quite believe just how fast and smooth it is. Anyway. While I was getting the bits together to build this PC I naturally needed to do a tone of research. I'd already started of course, some time ago, so had a pretty good idea of the thinking of mikkh and ken on here, those being the two who seem mostly keyed up on hardware. Coupled with a painfully slow laptop it took a bit of time to find the information I really wanted. So, I'm in the process of writing up a short essay on the matter and will post it here and a couple of other places where I know people who might want to read it.
