I cannot maintain my Epson printer WiFi connection in Puppy. At the moment the connection is lpd://192.168.1.138:515PASSTHRU and this is repeated in epson2.conf file. The last line in epson2.config reads net autodiscovery.
Well, quite frequently the last 3 digits of the link change and another "unit" is added - i.e. I expect that in a few days what is now 138 will become 139 and when that happens my printer and scanner are put out of action and I have to reinstall in CUPS webpage. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to make the connection permanent.
By the way, if I install the printer on USB connection all is well but I would rather not have trailing USB lead if I can avoid it.
