My Grandson receieved a PC game on CD for Christmas and when he loaded it, it said it needed XP/SP2 in order to play it. He built his PC himself and whereas it is fine in all respects, he does not have SP2 onboard and he has yet not got Internet access either (modem). I downloaded XP/SP3 onto to my laptop and then copied it to a flash memory stick. Now the problem is, it is an xpsp3 ISO file and we cannot open it. Would someone advise me what to do please. At the moment he has successfully installed SP2 from a CD I already have and the relevant game plays ok too.

You need to copy the .iso file to a CD. most CD writing programmes have facility to do this, certainly in Roxio or Nero, or you could download a program called power ISO which will create a CD drive on your hard drive which will open your service pack 3 ISO file as another CD on your PC when you double click it Graham
