Anyone noticed this Firefox Obsenity?

A smiley face icon for a chat box has appeared on the tool bar of Firefox.

Seemly an official Firefox tool

I find this unacceptable. I didn't ask for it and there appears to be no means of removing it other than deleting the icon, which is not the same thing at all!

I may have to think about dumping Firefox.

Mine's 35. Presumably it was installed at the last update.

It isn't active, but I am annoyed Firefox could simply assume we would want a tool such as they.

They will, of course, maintain, it's safe, but a means of exchanging data between computers is not safe or something I want to have pushed onto me, without asking.
