Has anyone heard of secureadcenter.com/
I've been getting this and it seems it is responsible for the strange popups I've had lately, offering updates for Firefox and video tools.
Googled it. Though there are a number of sites claiming to know about it, I've not heard of any of those before and most are offering a free download for a removal tool!
The best I've had is to remove the programs that are causing the problems. I looked at my list. Though all come from reputable sources, I did remove a couple that I know I installed around the time of the first appearance.
But the fact is, I've not heard of secureadcenter.com/ before.
Or any decent information on removal.

I've never heard of it either. If you cant find it in your list, look in Program Files x 86 and x64. If you cant find it there, look in the registry and remove all instances of it. If you cant find it anywhere and your running x 64 open Wow6432Node in LOCAL_MACHINE, Software. There is a big list there, often these parasites hide there and not show anywhere else.
When removing anything from Program Files, its best to do it in Safe Mode. After removing anything from Registry, Software, (Wow6432Node) reboot and run C Cleaner, it will clean up the loose crap you left in the registry.
I would use System Restore and go right back to before you picked it up, but clean up the Registry first. These things write themselves into the Restore Files. MBAM now scans the Restore Files, but the way these things are written, it might not see it as a threat

Thanks ken. I will do those things. Especially, thanks for reminding me to do so in Safe Mode. (Doh!)
I'm still wary about the lack of known sites that seem to have any information on it. All the once I found, I've never heard of before, none gave me very much information and several offered a downloadable remover tool.
On a plus side, at least I now have a better idea of why, every time I visited Yuku, I got popups offering me download updates. Just been there. I won't say anything because it might be back tomorrow.

Regardless, it hasn't worked. I got another page hijacker in Yuku this morning.
It is only ever Yuku that has this problem.
It does suggest it may simply be them!
