I am running Win 7 32bit and one update consistently fail to install. It is KB28339894, but the OS system is working normally. Is this update important or can I just ignore it? Many thanks,
Alex

Can you check that that is the correct number please?
I can't find it in M$ or Google and I don't have it in my list of updates.

I wanted to check what the update is for.
If I may suggest, dump it. If it's needed then you can always load it later.
I tend to keep W7 updates off these days and load them about once a month. Otherwise they do use up a lot of time and power.

You wont find anything listed if its not installed on your computer Alex. If it wont install it isn't needed; sometimes the installer will tell you its not needed, but not always. Anyway its nothing to worry about, its better not to have it than have it conflict with something else.

I found that one as well but ignored it for the same reason.
The only other references I found were essentially the same. That's why I asked alex to check the number again.
Interestingly, another search now shows this thread!

No use getting worried about these updates; if they were that important, they wouldn't have been left out of the OS in the first place.
