I read that myself and smiled, I routinely check everyone's PC I fix for internet speed - mostly because I'm nosey and also because I like saying oh that's not too bad for BT leased rubbish! I've yet to find any above 35 Mb's and that was a one off, most are a lot slower

Nothings changed much in nearly a decade, BT (and all the BT leased lines like Sky, Talk Talk, Vodaphone etc) still suck in the cheaper packages and I still see billboard posters where they're bragging about 67 Mbps as if it's something special. It's Ok, but it's one of their more expensive packages and pales into insignificance against Virgin Media's cheapest package that I'm on at 110 Mbps.
And there's always the "up to" caveat, which means most will be lucky to get 50 Mbps. If you're a family sharing multiple devices, that is nowhere near enough, especially if you have a gamer in the house.
At the budget end of BT's offerings, it's bordering on pathetic and barely enough for a single user.

H! All,
Just to give my pennies worth.
I have V M I have had It since it came out wireless and Radio and I have had no problems with it, but when I have been on other people's computers with telephone wires they think it is fast because they only use it for emails, Facebook and so on.
I only have a problem with the websites themselves mostly.
By the way Lynnrose I don't have any problems with CIT speedwise.

I don't remember "Wireless and Radio" The original cable company round here was Diamond Cable, which changed to NTL, then finally into Virgin Media.
I've only had a handful of outages in 22 years and always got the speed I was paying for whether it was 1 Mbps (back when dial up was common and frustratingly slow) up to the present day.
I can always remember downloading a Linux CD ISO (650 MB) on dial up that took all night, all the next day and all through the night again - now that's dedication!
Compare that to a graphics card driver (700 MB+) I downloaded yesterday, which took 3 minutes or so.
.... and to rub salt into the wound, the Linux I downloaded was not that good and quite a disappointment.
