I have found a program called "Websteroids" on my laptop which concerned me. I did a Google search to find that this should be removed using "Spyhunter"
I am unsure what to do with this (if anything) and would appreciate some sensible advice please.

Yeah, what he said - you could run JRT (junkware removal tool)too from the same site, to put your mind totally at ease
Don't bother with 'spyhunter' it's one of those scan for free, but pay to fix type programs. It's apparently legit, but it was slated for having infrequent updates, which sort of defeats the object of a security program

Sorry, completely forgot about JRT. It takes ages and seems to stall, but leave it, it will eventually do its stuff.
I have the actual sequence written down somewhere but can't find it now I need it.
Anyway, needless to say, I got all that stuff from mikkh anyway.
