I had an email supposedly from Virgin about turning on online security. It looks authentic, but is it?

Just an opinion, I would ignore anything like that.
I don't think Virgin does any security programs, if they do, I don't use them myself.
You generally know if your security is on.

It's legit, I was offered something similar while paying my bill online
I ignored the offer till I find out if it's really free, or just one of those free for now but we'll charge you in 6 months time type of deals

I haven't heard from them yet, but I wont bother with it anyway. I am quite happy taking care of my own security, I dont need them butting in.

My feeling entirely ken.
Good to hear it isn't a scam though.
I'm currently musing over an email which is asking me for my account details and passwords/pin for a bank account. Bless 'em.
