Hi, folks,
My wife likes to "extract" recipes from Food Network websites, but as soon as she finds what she wants the video starts automatically and uses my bandwidth. Is there a way to turn this feature off in Firefox, please Thanks, Alex

The suggested cure for Chrome doesn't work, I used 'flashblock' instead, which is also available for Firefox It replaces all the videos with an F, so you can choose whether to play or not It's been a minor annoyance to me for a while, not for the bandwidth, just the unwanted intrusion - so thanks for making me do something about it at last

These don't really bother me either, much the same reason as mikkh, though I can also turn off my speakers.
My wife on the other hand, uses a laptop and has recently become addicted to the Jigsaw site recommended by dear Buzzy!
I think she is going to love this. Thanks all
