Is google chrome safe? I don't trust it. Deep inside I feel it has a virus

I stopped using it a while ago after a series of computer crashes. Once it was gone, stability returned.
Their help site and knowledge base read like an advert and had nothing of any relevance.
I know it comes bundled with quite a bit of stuff, including a YouTube program and an updater.
I now use Firefox.

I dont need it now, but for a while I needed it for a couple of websites that I use. When I had it installed, it never caused me any bother. Everyones computers are different and I suppose it could conflict with something, but it doesn't contain anything nasty that I could ever find. A company like Google has got too much to lose by publishing dodgy software.

Well it definitely hasn't got a virus, it might have some questionable additions for the ultra paranoid - Big brother is watching, much like Microsoft do, but Google are more interested in your shopping habits than whether you're using unpaid for software.
Because of the crazy Adobe Flash situation in Linux, I'm forced to use Google Chrome but I've never had a problem with it myself.
I used to prefer Firefox for it's many add-ons, but Chrome has just as many now and it comes with latest Flash built in. It's also the most popular browser by a long way

I use Safari because it doesn't take 20 seconds to close. Probably Google has spying software in it because they have a close relationship with the NSA.
Anyways, thanks for the input. I tried Google Chrome on my school computer. It actually loaded websites quite fast. Then again there hooked up to like 148 Ethernet cords.
I had Google Chrome on my old PC and it was ok. My mom told me to uninstall it after seeing an advertisement. ._.

I found Chrome fast as well. Bit it also crashed my machine, almost certainly because one of its ancillary programs was attempting to contact its base for whatever reason.
Personally, I have little to worry about as far as others are concerned. I have the same garbage in my trousers as anyone else and there's nothing in my bank. But as we all know, the problem with these snoopers is they slow machines and cause crashes.
I would have thought that Google or even the NSA would be smart enough to develop something that didn't. But it seems that, when it comes down to it, Google and the NSA are as daft as any other arrogant crooks.
