I have a file suddenly appeared on my desktop and I am unsure what to do with it. The name is sqlite3.dll.

Problem is most online support tells me what to do if it's missing, not what to do if it suddenly appears.

Really so sorry stardust. I hate when people don't bother to properly read my queries and I've just done it to you. It's part of the SQLite database en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQLiteSome programs use it, such as Skype. But Skype have denied they use that .dill, though other Skype users seem to be complaining about it appearing. community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/Sqlite3-dll-file-showing-on-desktop/td-p/1907151Why it's appeared on your desktop I just don't know. Whenever I get files that don't seem to have any reason to be there, I put them into a compressed folder. Right click, send to compressed folder. If they are being used that should make them ineffective. But when a program suddenly starts complaining that it can't find it, you can let it out again. I'm naturally assuming your malware programs, Malwarebytes and a decent anti-virus, are up to date and functioning.

Any file that shows up on my computer that I didn't put there gets deleted. If its a file being used by a program, it should be in Program File and not on the desktop.

Thanks guys. I've recently started to use Skype to phone our son and it has appeared since the update. I'll pop it in I disagreeorted apps file.
