Never used a dedicated email program for years, no need since I let my original POP3 account die under a mountain of spam. Nowadays I use just use Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail - the latter two just as alternatives when signing up for things that are possibly going to spam me. Email is a dying medium for contacting people you know, most will use texts, twitter or facebook for direct access nowadays

I've seriously considered that myself mikkh. I actually have one online account that thinks my zip code is 90210.
I do like a decent downloading program simply for the convenience. Both of my accounts are Hotmail.
I'm quite liking Mailbird, to be honest. It's kinda quirky in some ways, the icons are down the side, which gives a large viewing pane, but no labels on any of them. A few others.
The main thing is it won't go around deleting old emails. That was my biggest bug with Thunderbird, deleting everything over 3 months old. I keep many of mine for years for the same reason I keep all letters. There's a huge gap in my archive now!
Anyway, no negative reports so that's good.
