Hello everyone I want to delete Outlook Express because it often has errors and I have another email client already. I have seen a removal tool here simpleuninstaller.com/?s=g Is this a safe tool to use? or should I find another means to do the job? Zippie

Personally, I would leave it on my PC, delete the shortcuts and just not use it. The other way could be to remove via Add/Remove windows components

I never use it myself either, but I agree with LynnRose - I'd just leave it It's taking up the room of a couple of small MP3's, so it's hardly going to make any difference in HD usage.
...... and I'd steer clear of 'free to try' software like that too

Thanks Lynnrose and Mikkh I did leave it on my comp initially but every so often it pops up full of messages and sometimes tells me there is no more memory, these issues are annoying and when it asks me to compress the emails I agree but what happens when the store space gets full? Zippie

If you don't use it, just delete all the emails that are in there and remove all your accounts..........Open OE, click Tools tab, choose Accounts, under Mail tab, click on each account in turn and click the Remove button You shouldn't get any emails now.

Can I also suggest you check that it's not still listed as the default email program.
This should be on the START menu at the top.
Set Program Access and Defaults. (XP only. Not sure what Vista does. Probably expects a regular bribe or some other extreme piece of blackmail).
