No doubting his popularity, but I'd be hard pushed to name 3 of his songs I really like. And the Beatles while fairing much better in my estimation - also did a lot of very average or downright rubbish songs amongst a dozen or so real classics.
I mentioned this before years ago, but there's very few albums from any artist where I've liked every single track. I guess I'm just hard to please

Isn't this true for everyone? Although you could probably argue the case that even though every song may not be liked at that time, the more your tastes change/moods change you find yourself listening to the songs you didn't like and therefor can say you liked every song on a given album at some point in time just not at the same time. At least it is for me

Just trying to think of the perfect albums - 90210 by Yes is one and a very surprising one because I think 95% of their earlier stuff is complete junk. Solid ball of rock by Saxon is another. Band on the run by Wings maybe?
Of more modern artists, I like Adele a lot, but some tracks on her albums are obviously 'fillers' and shouldn't be there at all IMO

As regards my favourite Elvis track, my number one would be 'Trilogy' - probably the most powerful number he ever recorded. Looking around for a favourite album - where I can honestly say that I'm happy to play every track, every time, I'd stick a pin in the Moody Blues' 1970 album 'Days of Future Passed'. Okay, it's mood music in its most developed form, but it's easy on the ear, it's 'musical' and every track carries a subliminal message that I can identify with. Just go onto BooTube and listen to a few of 'em - you'll see what I mean!
