My favourite and I think Lynnrose's browser seems to have some problem with V16. I'm using v14, but passing it on. Will still use the Fox though, simply because it's so good. www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19909106

I used to be a big fan of Firefox, but the light alternative to the full Mozilla suite has now grown too big for it's boots and glitches in games I play means it's no longer my main browser. Ever since I found out you could get 'adblockplus' for Google Chrome, that's what I've been using - about 6 months or so now.
Took a while to make it look and behave like I wanted, but now I've got used to it's little foibles, I'm quite happy with it.
It comes with flashplayer, so it's an ideal browser to install after a fresh install
.. and obviously there's a Linux version too

I haven't installed it since I finished building NHI site, I only used it then for its HTML editor and got rid of it when the site was finished. I have got Chome installed, as parts of Virgin site needs it to display properly. Nottingham City Council site is another one that insists on Chrome. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. IE does everything I need in a browser apart from what I've stated. I dont believe in installing anything I dont need and you get IE as part of Windows OS. How fast has a browser got to be?? If you click and the page opens straight away, how much faster can it get?? I listen to people talk about fast browsers, do their brains actually work at warp speed, or are they just warped in the head?? Like so much other technology, browsers seem to have become another fashion statement. All browser have become overloaded and I want a browser that doesn't do anything else. I like to take care of my own security and dont need anyone else doing it for me. Particularly when they are just doubling up on what I've already got. Everyone is getting a computer these days, whether they understand them or not. The software companies are taking full avantage of these people and totally ignoring the wishes of the of the experienced computer user.

I am on 16.1 and its working ok at present, Firefox lost some of it's speed a little while ago, but all seems to be back to normal now, it's good and quick. My brain works at warp speed so it's imperative I have a fast browser !!!!!! only joking ken !

The Firefox 16 download was withdrawn yesterday as there was a bug in it. Its been fixed and released again today. I dont know if anyone installing it the first day should uninstall and reinstall it, or whether they are giving the fix as an update. It might be best to reinstall it anyway. A clean installation is often better than a patched version of anything.
