I have internet explorer and firefox on my pc. Would it be safe to uninstall internet explorer. I never use it and am wondering if i could or would it mess things up. Like emails and such. Sorry about this daft question but its something i've alway wondered about.

It used to so tightly integrated in earlier versions of Windows that removing it could cause major problems. For what space it takes up on a modern hard drive, there really is no point in removing it though. I remove the icons from the desktop and forget about it.
I haven't seen any latest figures for the browser most often used, but I suspect it's still IE because a lot of people are too idle to install an alternative or believe only one browser is allowed
