I dont think many of the originals have survived MM. I've got The Chump at Oxford on DVD and thats a rare movie even on DVD.

I'm watching a brilliant black and white film right now, Schindlers List.

I once saw a projection of an original Harold Loyd print. You think of old black and white films as a bit contrasty with crackles and pops and dust etc. The film was a first generation print and the quality was outstanding, I was astonished at how good it was. Maybe one day we can look forward to the original prints being released on a Blueray version, now that I look forward to.

I heard a song today and it reminded me of a film I watch over and over. Bette Midler in The Rose.
