I was downloading a Linux torrent last night and noticed with a wry smile that I was apparently uploading at 500 KB/sec. I thought, yeah, you wish you were getting 500 KB/sec from me and then dismissed it as a false reading. Today I was sorting out someone's PC and ran the speed test to prove Java (and the internet) was working  The download speed is a bit down being a busy time of day, but the upload speed  That's over three times quicker than it normally is and faster than a lot of people are downloading at ;D Cheers Mr Branson, just like McDonalds, I'm loving it  |

I dont know what I have done to upset Richard Branson, but I must be the only person in the country who is still only getting 1.6 odd Mb upload speed. My download speed seldom goes lower than 49 Mb, its usually about 51/52 Mb and its only the upload. Its not the server hogging any bandwidth, I've turned everything off bar the tele. I dont think my set top box is the problem. I've tested with 3 computers and its the same with all of them.
I dont use torrents very often and when I do, I use a VN on my server. When its finished thats it, I dont even notice how long it takes and I might not even check it for several days.

Mine seems to be getting better and better :-p  Faster ping, faster download speed, faster upload - it even washes the pots for me now, well maybe not that, but it would if I asked it nicely I'm sure |

Yes it's my Dads today - 78 and still determined to put "see, I *told* you I was ill" on his gravestone.
It was my daughters mothers (my ex basically) birthday on the 1st (suits her beautifully) Mine on the 13th (as well as my aunty in Australia), one of my brothers is on St Georges Day (the 23rd) and then obviously it's the Queens on the 21st
No idea what I'm going to buy her though, she's so hard to buy for and incredibly fussy
