I have booked a short break in York for March and I am in the process of booking an 8 night stay in Barcelona for July. We will be staying in a studio apartment with a private roof terrace.
What about your holiday for 2010 ~ going anywhere nice?

We had a lovely three days in York and we even did this Ghost Walk, which was loads of fun.

York is excellent, Lynnrose. I've spent many a long weekend there yet will never tire of it. Got some darned good eateries there, and keep your camera ready to use. Barcelona; you should LOVE it although a word of warning ~ what you can't keep crossed, best kept zipped up  Got my wallet nicked when I was there. Leave some money and a credit card behind when you go out ~ somewhere safe. Evidently Barcelona is reknowned for its pick-pockets. Was in Brussels a few week back. With all the hospital appointments of late I hadn't had a trip away for what felt like eons. Return to work was looming, the bank balance was very robust, and I'd never been on Eurostar before; join the dots. I booked a first class 3 night package with Eurostar just for the experience. The train journeys were IMPRESSIVE. Its everything else that went wrong; I cannot recommend Brussels as a destination. To future plans ~ Paris in a couple of week. Eurostar again, the French do lovely "Easter Eggs" and I've promised a couple ... And Prague. Yes, well ... I really need to sit in a darkened room with a cold poultice for this one; maybe we need a thread about holiday hiccups? Been to Prague once before, see, and was it EVER a dilly of a time! Yes, I have heard about the pick-pockets and scams in Barcelona. Apparently it is so rife that even the police don't care.
Go ahead with a new thread on holiday mis-haps, should make interesting reading

Hiccups, Lynnrose. Not necessarily "mis-haps". Whilst often its possible to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory at times you can find that something rather good has sneaked up on you from the long grass.

Today was supposed to be terrible, but I think yesterday was worse. At least theres a bit of sunshine between the rain today.
