Anyone know how Cloudflare actually works?
I've read their blurb but would like some more info.
I ask, because I have been a member of a forum for a few years now. It has always been quite busy.
Anyway, the owner got Cloudflare for some reason and since. getting connected has been patchy at best.
But for almost a week now, the connection has been blocked altogether.
Now, reading the Cloudflare blurb they seem to divide all users into 3 groups, good users, bots and bad users. Only the first two are allowed in.
Does that mean I've been blacklisted in some way?
If so, will it be Cloudflare that has blacklisted me or someone on the site?
Appreciate any information

If anyone can give some decent information on this program, I'd be really grateful.
I've recently heard that quite a number have found themselves being locked out for some time now. Including at least one mod on that site.

Some more infprmation. Below is an image of what I am getting: I've done a search for information on Cloudflare and every report, so far, seems positively glowing. I also found this claim: w3techie.com/2010/cloudflare-review/That seems to indicate that the response I and others are getting is not the one claimed. I certainly have never been asked for any codes. Also, the address in my address bar remains the same. My browser isn't being diverted elsewhere. This is the only example I've had from any site on the web. Sorry to nag, but I'd really appreciate some information. The idea that some place in the US has me logged as a malicious user is worrying, given that people have been deported to the US because of similar allegations. I haven't done any computer programming since the days of 8 bit BBC BASIC.

I have had a suggestion that this may be a DDOS attack. The claims by a couple of people, that they are still getting on are probably lies, which is sad.
I really don't know to be honest. I was a bit concerned because the Cloudflare thing apparently can block those who are said to be malicious users. I can't write code and don't see myself as malicious anything.
Fingers crossed that this is just a DDOS.

For a company, set up with the express purpose of stopping DDOS attacks, it doesn't seem to be doing a lot of good.
I've left them a message, but not had any reposne so far.

I wrote to Cloudflare, asking why I was getting this.
They have kindly written back. They say that to keep the service running smoothly, they limit the number of concurrent users to 750 and the site reached that always.
Annoying but that's reality I suppose.
Anyway, thank you dear CIT for putting up with my panic attack there. Seems there was no need after all.
