I looks as if the Raspberry Pi has enough RAM to load Puppy. Has anyone tried it?

It is intended as an aid to teach children to write programmes and you can see the spec. on the webisite that Elvis posted. As I am using my PC mainly for emails and wordprocessor, perhaps this is all that I need.

Quite frankly, it looks like the most exciting thing in computing since the ZX81 and BBC B.
It's easy, now, to scoff at those. But at the time they brought computing within reach of ordinary people and gave anyone ready access to the actual tools of programming.
The Pi is going to be cheap as chips. It has built in connectors for keyboards, monitor, internet access and USB. And a pretty good OS built in.
Undoubtedly, a few will buy it and complain about games. But most, I suspect, (hope), will see it for what it is, a tool for people who want to do something more than collect toys.
If I was 40 years younger, I'd be selling everything I have right now to get the cash to buy one of those.
Something like this has been a long time coming. But on the face of it, along with a 20 quid price tag, it sounds amazing.

My sentiments entirely jojo. You have obviously had a good look at the specification. I would not say no to knocking off 40 years off my age and experience, but failing that I am still tempted to buy one and drive Mikkh insane with calls for help!!!
Best,
Alex
