A binman was told not cross a residential street to pick up a bag of rotting rubbish because it was a breach of health and safety regulations.

Kirkless Council have deemed Almondbury bank in Huddersfield too dangerous to cross safely and have now ordered refuse teams to empty bins one side at time.
