My IE 8, running in Win XP SP3 cannot display any pages. I looked at the error log and it has error 12029. Are there any fixes for this, preferably Microsoft ones that do not require registration, disclosing all my personal details and payment?

No problems with Firefox, which I am using at the moment.

Just go to Tools>Internet Options, click on Connections Tab , go to LAN settings and untick everything there. Alex
