After only 2 days, I am afraid Ubuntu nearly wreched my system, so I uninsalled it. But the problems are not over. When I log on the system hangs in BIOS and when I eventually manage to get into BIOS, I find that my primary boot device is Atapi CD ROM! After changing it my main HD, it reverts to CD ROM again.
How can I restore the default BIOS settings?
Thanks,
Alex

I cannot restore BIOS default settings. One of my HD is disabled, so I cannot run Win7, which is on it. Linux is a nightmare.

Elvis, I get the error message "NTLDR is missing press Alt-Ctrl-Del to restart" and that get me back into Win XP. I don't know if Ubuntu changed any settings, but the fact is that it all worked well until it crashed and now my other HD is disabled and I lost Win7.

I managed to repair Win 7 using the original installation CD, so all is well again.
