Mikkh, I have installed and run RKill and Microsoft Security Essentials on my infected HD. During the MSE scan StopZilla popped up and showed a large number of Trojans for removal, but I ignored it because I did not want to interfere with MSE scan. I have now recovered all software on that drive and everything is working. I run another MSE scan and it showed all clear, but StopZilla still pops up sometimes and shows a list of trogans for removal.
Can I safely ignore it?
Thanks,
Alex

Having installed stopzilla myself because I'd never seen it before, my first impressions are it's absolute scaremongering rubbish - intrusive, slow and basically a scam to make you pay for it.
Uninstall it and use the combofix program i already told you about but you don't appear to have run yet
And in answer to your question - no you can't believe it IMO, horrible piece of software, get rid ASAP

Thank you Mikkh. I will uninstall StopZilla. I wish I could get back £34 that I paid for it, but one learns from experience.
I will try Combofix too.
Thanks again,
Alex

Thank you Elvis. Mikkh recommended it too. I downloaded it, but when I tried to run it I got a warning message "Do not run Combofix in compatibility mode. I might damage your machine!" I could not find any instructions as to what that means and how one should run it safely. Alex
