Bet you were thinking I have started this thread in the wrong place lol.... Just came across Avast's Audio Notifications. I have chosen 'Smooth Fella' - I liked Redneck too Smooth Fella is now installed.
Let us know which one you install. Listen to them anyway, even if you don't have Avast and tell us which one you like best Can't wait for Avast to speak now lol
Any of you going to record your own?

I went through the list and settled on "Smooth Fella" lightens the start of the day. ;D

I have done something wrong (not unusual - lol) I thought I had downloaded and saved "Smooth Fella" but when the Avast update came through today I got the original (default) Lady telling me one had been updated. Lynnrose - please let me into the secret of getting this correct pleez.

Open Avast, click on Settings (top right) Click on Sounds (nav bar on left) Make sure there is a tick at 'Use Voiceover Sounds' Click OK

I suppose the fact that you said the test "is safe" is because Mr Smooth's voice came up saying a threat had been detected and this is just an example?

Yes, just a test so you could hear Mr. Smooth to check yours was working.
