A friend has a virus which send emails to people in his address book, if someone opens the virus email and it infects there computer, do the people in the original address book get sent from the second affected computer or once the original has cleaned his computer the people in his phonebook are ok provided they haven't infected there computer. hope you get my gist.

I think I know where you are coming from Monty. The answer is, "No." If I got hold of all or part of your address book, I could send emails to all your friends and even yourself. They would look like they are coming from you, but are not. Although you can pass on an infection from your computer to another, its not the way these people work. They like a direct approach and not a hit or miss through a 3rd party.
