My scheduled scan with SAS has detected "MyWebSearch/FunWebProducts with 140 items. I deleted this lot and ran MAB which picked up a further 11 items.
I did a re-scan with SAS in Safe Mode and checked again and this seems to have solved the problem.
I seem to remember many years ago that "Nero" was notorious for bundling adware junk and this (new) machine of mine has Nero 9 installed which I gather from a Google check indicates that the above adware is present!!
Would it therefore be sensible to un-install Nero and use a more 'lighweight' utility if I can find one, for Window 7 (64bit) ?

Shame on you Elvis, what's wrong with 'brasero' in Mint? As for Nero and it's bloat, yes it's wise to seek an alternative to make your PC faster. They've lost plenty of fans recently and if they're including spyware now, they'll lose a whole lot more. It became more annoying than useful from version 7 for me with it's jack of all trades master of none approach imgburn is a bit of a one trick pony though - great for ISO's but not much else cdburnerXP, despite it's name, works in all later versions of Windows too cdburnerxp.se/
