Firewall which one?

I am going to need a FREE Firewall for Windows 7 when i get my disc on Monday i hope, my Commodore firewall will not work with W7rc so i need another one.

Any suggestions ?

Comodo works with Win7, and thats the one I use on my Laptop. It doesn't use a mile of resorces, like most of the others. Make sure you only install the firewall and not the whole security suite, if you have Avast running.

Depends if you have a router already - if you have, you don't need a firewall and you can just use the inbuilt (Windows) one for peace of mind and to stop the security centre nagging, but you don't really need it.

If you don't have a router, Ken's suggestion is OK - but consider buying a router for better protection and easier sharing of connections if you own more than one PC/laptop

Comodo works fine with W7 Elvis. As Ken said though, just install the firewall, not the rest of the junk.

"Depends if you have a router already" No i have now router i may get one at the end of the year a wireless one maybe when i have sum dosh and i dont want to use the windows one.

Well i have now put Commodore firewall on my computer with W7 and no problems ;D so far.

I think it was the old copy of the free Commodore firewall i was trying to install that was the problem
