It's been a long known fact that many software companies charge a lot more for their products in the UK than say, the USA. That isn't for the boxed versions either but for the downloads as well. One of the worst culprits for this is Adobe. Their reasoning is that it is more expensive to deliver and produce products in the UK...which is obviously complete bunkum as it costs exactly the same to to deliver a product by download wherever in the world you are (not including local taxes of course).

Its easier to change the dollar sign into a pound sign, than it is to change the whole price. If I was only getting $5 million a day return on my investment, I would probably do the same thing.
