At the moment it seems to be alright for a while and then I suddenly lose it, only to be able to get straight back in.

I was going to remark on this slowness - but Proboards put up and apologetic message saying they were aware of this and were working on it so I decided to wait and see. Seems ok this morning.

Same here. I was in NHI, everything was working perfectly and I left a message for Buzzy. Then I wanted to come here and went in the kitchen and poured a cup of coffee while I waited for the home page to open. It was a bit slow early this morning, but now its almost come to a halt. I'm saving my messages, just in case they dont post. They all have so far, but you can bet your life they wont if I didn't save them.

Very slow loading pages today. NHI is working normally, so its only this server. Unless its a jump server. Proboards have servers in different locations, so the two groups could be routed different ways. That seems more likely than the Proboards server itself.

From the time you said they were looking into it Lynnrose, it had vastly improved within half hour. Seems to be OK now.
